Dr Philip Carthew

Dr Carthew was appointed as a member in April 2003. He is also a member of COT since 1998. Dr Carthew is the senior pathologist at the Safety and Environmental Assurance Centre at Unilever, Colworth. He has acted as a consultant to the World Health Organisation on the safety of biological products for use in man, and has been involved in a variety of chemical and drug safety evaluations for industry and the World Health Organisation.
